Water leak diagnosis help

I have a leak under my driveway seeping thru. Im pretty sure the main water line runs here but also have a sprinkler line that cuts across to other side of property here.
I turned off main valve to sprinkler and didnt seem to make leak any different. Im concerned backleak of sprinkler line water could happen but maybe thats not true.
Shutting off water at street wont be diagnostic. Is only way to dig up driveway and find leak?

the irrigation line “should” be in a sleeve. Dig up next the the driveway at one side where you think it is and find out. If it is, you should be able to see if that’s what’s leaking

Find someone with a thermal camera to borrow and take photos of the driveway. You may find a cool spot in the driveway where the leak is.

does the water line run parallel under the drive or perpendicular? how wide is the drive? without thinking about if it washed out under the drive and will cause sinking later, I think if it runs perpendicular you can easily water jet next to the existing line then cut off each side and repipe. if parallel, this might be much harder.

You might be able to jet a new sleeve or two under the driveway depending on your soil. If not, there are companies that can torpedo bore the sleeves. It would save you from replacing a section of your driveway, or having an ugly saw cut. Go ahead and replace both lines if it’s cheap enough. Then you won’t have to determine which one it is.
Don’t do this if you have a brick paver driveway.

If the leak continued unabated then it’s the main water line.
Turn the valve off at your main water meter and the leak should stop after a little while. That would confirm your problem.

You need to pressure test your domestic water. Go buy a cheap water pressure gauge that hooks to your hose bib at home Depot. Hook up the pressure gauge to the hose bib and turn on the hose bib. Shut the water off at the curb stop. Do not use any water in the house. If the pressure drops you have a leak.

Or you have a toilet running or a dripping faucet.

You can isolate the domestic water

That's possible, but the leak he is describing, the drop will be almost instant on the pressure gauge.

It's really easy to figure if your water system has a leak.
Turn of all the water in the house.
Find the water meter and look at the indicator on the meter and see if it's spinning.
If it's spinning, you have a leak.
If it isn't, you don't.
The indicator is a little triangle on the gauge.

Seems to me that you've already narrowed it down to your supply line. Thermal imaging is probably best to see if leak coincides with supply line path. Locating that path should be easy... a straight line from meter at curb to shut off valve at house. The companies that locate leaks acoustically say they can work outside. Under a drive is about the same as under a slab. They are, however, expensive.
