Im looking into planting some trees in my land I bought for some shade around my house. Its basically an open field with a house in the middle of it.
I need yalls input on some trees that will grow fairly quick and will provide shade to block the sun from beaming down on my house in the summer from about noon-sunset.

Do you want evergreens or trees that are bare in winter?

Where do you live? In South Louisiana it's hard to beat a slow growing live oak. Drive around Lake Charles and look for the trees that survived 2 hurricanes, very few trees other than oaks made it.
There are several varieties of quick growing trees that can produce shade, they all grow quickly and die quickly. Then again if you don't plan on living there for more than 20 or 30 years a river birch, water oak, or even a chinese tallow (Chicken tree) grows quickly.

My understanding is that fast growing trees are also weak trees. If your looking for fast growing tree around the house then that will eventually come with risk of limbs and the tree itself falling on the house.
I am not a landscaper but maybe plant fast growing tall shrubs along with slow growth trees that will eventually provide the majestic shade you desire.

I planted a Drake Elm this winter for this reason. The board always suggests that tree.

I am a fan of the big leaf magnolia. It is not going to be a huge shade tree, but it is definitely a great tree to include and the blooms smell amazing. It will typically take about 8 years before it starts blooming.
If you are starting from scratch you have an opportunity to do more than just plant trees. See if your library has a book called Living Landscape. It is worth checking out. Bringing Nature Home is another good book if you want explore options besides just planting shade trees.

River Birch is about as fast growing as you can get.

Chinese pistache and Chinese/lacebark elm grow fast. Not necessarily the best shade tree, but they do provide some.

Indeed it is. Lots of leaves though.
Maple grows quickly but needs lots of water. Leaves drop.
Live oak would be my choice and go with a big one. They grow quickly at first and then slow down.
Magnolia is my second. Lots of varieties so get the big grower

Remember rule of thumb for trees: if it grows quickly, it doesn’t live long

I've seen these turn into limb dropping monsters...and I don't mean small limbs.
