Stihl. Use the premix fuel. No issues like cheap gas models; great velocity and CFM.

My parents have had that Hitcachi for a few years and it’s been nothing but problems. Coils just went bad on it so they replaced it with a Husqvarna or something. Could be a lemon but I’ve worked on that blower too much to ever recommend it.

I have a Stihl BG86. Not sure I’d ever buy anything else.

Not gas!

My $50 Ryobi from Home Depot handles my back patio, walkways, and driveway just fine. It can even thin layers of leaves on my yard as well. Just make sure you get a 100 ft extension cord.

I just got a ego 56v blower and really like it. First battery operated yard device.

Stihl BG 86

It's a little pricey, but I use it every day. Dependable & blows like a hooker.

For an avg sized residential house and driveway battery is fine. I’m buying some gas models for work this week though because the batteries just don’t last very long.

If you use the premix fuel and run it out in the winter when not in use, there’s really very little problems you can have. Premix in a blower is like 25 cents per use, blowers use very little gas. So there’s really not a lot of downside imo. Or just get non ethanol and run it and run it out more often.

Thanks to all that replied... I guess I have to re-evaluate battery powered now.

Stihl BR350

I’ll never rake Pine Needles again. Wet, dry, matted it doesn’t care. Controllable enough to blow them into a nice neat pile and done. I also have a Battery powered Ryobi and yeah it’s fine for cleaning off the front door mat or drying the car. Anything more than that and papa Stihl is coming out to do the job.

I imagine you probably already have a wet/dry vac, but when my 25 year old Genie model finally bit the dust, I got a two-for-one deal with this puppy:

.

Corded, but REALLY powerful and pretty quick-change.

Lots of other companies and similar models to choose from.

Just got the EGO battery powered one from Lowes and can't imagine messing with a gas one again.

Did the same. My experience is I am more likely to use it because I can just grab and go. No maintenance, no pull cords and no electric cords to wind and unwind.

Ego products are game changers. Though I might purchase another battery for added convenience to not have to be mindful of charge levels.

Just a patio? Buy a blower for whatever battery pack tool set you have. I have 20v Dewalt tools so I have a 20v battery blower specifically for little jobs

For blowing the yard I have the Stihl 800 X Magnum. It’s their top of the line commercial blower and it’s bad to the bone
