definitely lost alot of the color from the spring when there was plenty of rain and it wasn't so scorching hot, but the 'summer hardy' plants are starting to shine now. i have to confess i just finally got around to trimming all the shrubs and hauling the debris away so this was taken when the yard was fresh.

Just got a quote for the plant dude to come replace all the dead stuff, shape trees, pine straw, and all the other BS that goes with flower beds.

I still have some candy roaster, Butternut, and tromboncino squash hardening off. Just planted watermelon and have a good many sakata/kajari melons on the vines. Cucuzza starting to really take off. About to rip up tomatoes and okra.

I have a little over 1000 sq. ft. of vegetable garden in my back yard that only has some weeds in it now since I'm still recovering from ankle surgery and didn't put a garden in this spring.
I will get out there later this summer to get it ready for my traditional fall/winter garden. It needs a good weeding and then turn over the soil and pull my rows to get ready for planting in September/October.
I did away with the front yard flower beds with the exception of 1 octagonal bed I have in the center of the yard with a few plants still in it and doing well.
