Squirrel proof bird feeders: Updated

Anyone have luck finding an actual squirrel proof bird feeder?
I am watching the squirrels currently destroying a "squirrel-proof" feeder that had a trick ledge that would block them from accessing the seed, they circumvented that by pushing in the plastic shield that made up the windows of the birdhouse feeder.
Mine looks nearly identical to this and they pushed the plastic out of the way in order to enter the feeder itself.
UPDATE: I moved my bird feeder off of my lone tree in the backyard to a shepherd's hook and ziptied a slinky onto the shaft, this has stymied their efforts to steal the bird food. I purchased another bird feeder Squirrel Proof Feeder and placed it where the other was in the tree and they haven't figured it out yet.

We just use a pole made from oiled 1/2” steel square tubing. Thought we were smart until they jumped from the tree limbs to get it and destroyed the thing in the process.
We now have it far enough from any trees that they can’t get to it.

Slinky around the pole works for awhile, but they eventually figure it out. It's fun to watch until they do though

There will always be another.

never had an issue when using a baffle on the pole and making sure no tree branches are close enough to jump.

If I am not mistaken, I had that exact same feeder. I think you turn the red arrow on the two and remove the entire roof to put food in. They would someone turn that and remove the top. I came home twice and they were feeding out of it like a trough and the top was on the ground
The only way to keep them from beating you is to stop feeding them. It is useless. They are smarter than you are

I’ve had one for about 20 yrs. Works great and has a rechargeable battery. The battery has died twice over the 20 yrs and they replaced it for free.

Parents had one of those spring loaded ones in OP but they suspended themselves in a contorted way to still get the food.
I have 2 of these and I’ve never had one get around them. As someone else said make sure there aren’t any trees nearby or they’ll jump.

Neighbor had one of those spinning feeders. Three squirrels would jump on it at once, ride it till the battery died then eat all the food

We've had one similar the OP picture, but it has no windows for the tree rats to break into. Solid steel with an adjsutable hinged perch that will close for squirrels even multiple birds. But I looked quickly online and can't find anything now that doesn't have the windows. I suggest you "board up" the windows with metal.

That’s impressive

I use one called Squirrel Buster. It seems to work well and the squirrels now just wait on the ground for seeds knocked off by birds.Wife said no to shooting them.

I have this and it works.

It's based on weight. From the site - Openings in the shroud align with the feeding ports, providing birds access to the food. When a squirrel climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically forces the shroud down, closing access to the ports.
They're not cheap, but they work. I have plenty of squirrels and they've just stopped trying.

Use hot pepper bird seed. They leave it alone.

We have a similar spring loaded bird feeder.
When the squirrel eventually makes it to the feeder, its weight shifts the eating ports to the closed position.
They get lazy (or smart?) and just join the dove on the ground eating the leftover seeds that fell on the ground.

You'll run out of bullets before that works. One summer I decided to trap them and take them to a park on the other side of a good sized river, 5 miles away. I trapped and relocated more than 50 in 2 months before I gave up.
