Should I wait till spring to transplant 4’ LSU Gold fig from pot to ground?

leave them in the pots until the leaves drop and they go dormant, then transplant

Agreed…


ETA: the LSU purple made the most/best figs of all my fig trees this year!

What size put is it in?

Debating to try figs but would need to be in pots.

I planted one a month ago and it's doing great. I just make sure it gets watered regularly

They are really good after about three years. They have a maple syrup taste. The problem for me, here in central Alabama, is that they ripen later in the fall and the first frost hits with lots of green figs still on the tree.

I think it’s in a 1 galloon “put”.

I grilled the few that have ripened. They taste amazing.
