Any recommendations to get the most out of putting Centipede seeds down?

First piece of advice is to accidentally buy Bermuda seed, might be the most important step actually.

after the drought last year about 50 percent of my front yard (was centipede) was either completely dead or very sparse. i am still struggling with the option of reseeding, seeding w/ Bermuda or replacing w/ sod. I bought centipede seed and was just about to apply when the posts came about letting bermuda take over came along. I don't have full sun (one large crape and one large oak both close to my house) so i'm not sure if bermuda would take over. Have patches in full sun areas (live on a golf course).

following this thread, somebody make up my mind for me

I am going with Zoysia in front because of mix of sun and shade. Centipede/dirt/St Aug/Bermuda currently getting nuked

Experimenting with seeing if I can get Bermuda to take over Centipede/dirt in back.

One way or another, Centipede is exiting the stage

Are there local places that sell the Bermuda seed? I'm sure the Bermuda seed at Home Depot is not what we are looking for. Thanks

Maybe SiteOne, maybe Pennington seed at Tractor Supply...
But definitely Hancock. It's too easy. Arrives within 5-7 days.

My dumb arse re-sodded with centipede just in time for the drought and then spring freeze. I believe it would have been better to cover the lawn in $1 bills. I am beyond frustrated and pissed, and am not taking the waste of money well. Also looking for a cost effective seed route for a lawn with shade and full sun as I can't bear the thought of throwing more money at re-sodding this soon.

You could throw down in July with no issues

Use tifblair or Santee seed

Mix with Mason or play sand and black kow and then spread over the lawn

Then water, I’ve got centipede germinating all over my lawn

Make sure you get the good black kow. Not the crap full sticks.

My local ACE has both. The bag that actually says top soil is what you want to get.
