Anybody have a good contact for replacing a water heater?

Mine went to crap in the middle of the night and now I’m in the market for a new one. Current setup is halfway in the attic and halfway in the bathroom closet.

Do it yourself if you can.
Replacing water heaters is extremely expensive to hire plumbers, especially those from home depot, etc

The bottom third of the tank can be accessed from the top cabinet in my bathroom (able to check the pilot, adjust temp) without having to go into my attic. The rest of the tank is in my attic. I don’t have a pic of it at the moment. The house was built early 1950s

Might be a good time to relocate it although I know it sucks not having hot water. Would only take you a couple hours of repiping.

Anyway, good luck

i have seen those before

not enough room in attic to stick it up there so they put a shelf halfway off the floor of a closet to hold it. just like they do with closet central heating units.

it solves the problem and makes replacing it easier to access.

I used B&D Plumbing. Very happy with the service.
