Replacing electrical panel with through wall service

How would you replace this panel to a 200amp 30 space panel when the Romex is coming through the wall into the panel? The issue is I’m limited on horizontal and vertical space and the existing panel is 19in where as the new 30 space panel is 33in. I can’t really go up higher with the new panel as the meter box and service riser pole won’t fit below the soffit at that point so it seems my only option is the drill an new hole in the middle of the new panel to the left of the breakers and feed in that way.

Does the new breaker box have a comparable amount of room to the current box beside the breakers? Enough room next to the breakers to place a hole?
I don't believe there is anything wrong with coming in the back of the box and it's done frequently, but personally, I'm very meticulous with wire organization and routing in the box. A feed coming through the back of the box interferes with the organization at times. Doesn't sound like you have much of an option other than to approach it the way you're talking about here.
Trying to figure out how you could possibly use unistrut to get the breaker box bumped off the house slightly to give you a little more flexibility with the hole placement. I'm not even sure if that is allowed or a good idea even.

It's going through the wall without conduit or is there a conduit on there?
Personally, I would move the box and route that through fresh conduit to clean it all up and get it to code.
Also, what's that little white wire on the right side doing?

The white wire is another hot leg on the 220v circuit is what it looks like to me.
And yes, adding a conduit with a connector end on it fastening it to the box would be ideal. A bushing to prevent wire chafing would be an added bonus.

You can always tell the guy that doesn't give a shite about the next guy when you see work like that.
I do like to take a piece of the romex covering and write what the circuit is on it and slip it over the hot wire.
I try to keep mine more in line with this. Just a canned image from google but this is so much better.
