This one seems as good as any. Could probably make sandwiches and do other chores also.

Bosch. I bought this one for my daughter in January and it's a great dishwasher for the price. Bosch Web Site

I have had 2 bosch's. The older ones are way better. No heating element so upside is you can place anything anywhere and it won't melt.

The racks suck. I love the tray but you can't fit a damn glass on the first rack unless you lower it then you can't fit anything tall on the bottom.

They are reliable and quiet. Make sure you always have the jet dry rinse agent. If not your tupperware will remain wet.

My Bosch is so quiet it shines a red dot on the floor when it is on. Otherwise you would never know. Have had it for four years with no problems.

Bosch hands down. My den is beside the kitchen. There is no noise at all. We replaced a Frigidare that the Flinstones used. Sounded like a 737 taking off at times.

I just bought a whirlpool from Lowes. Lowes item #838387. We have run it a few times now. It does a great job! Cleans great and drys very well too. I've had Samsung (terrible), Ge (terrible-didn't clean dishes well at all) and Bosch (very quite, my first cleaned and dried great, the second one was not good, didn't clean well at all and no drying feature so everything is wet when it comes out).
Hope that helps some

edit: last one I had was an LG, worked great for two years, then had an error code(showing a leak) never found a leak and never could get it fixed.
I guess i'm hard on dishwashers and I move a lot

Does this one do a good job of drying? I am in the market for a moderately priced dishwasher that drys well. Sorry for bumping an old thread, didn't want to start a new one when there was already a perfectly good thread out there.

Bosch - it's so quiet we have to see if the light is on to know it's running. I did remove the 3rd tray. I like that it doesn't have a heating element.

It still dries well without the heating element?

Bosch is where I'm looking when mine craps out. They are quiet and inlaws have one that has lasted at least 12 years so far.
