Dual zone, built-in, 20-40 bottle capacity, compressor.
Any brands to AVOID? Any brands that are MUST BUY?
There are thousands on Amazon and other sites - thanks in advance.

I have a Smith & Hanks ordered direct from their warehouse. 15” dual zone. Under cabinet. Holds like 30 bottles.
Had it for two years. No complaints.

Make sure you have enough air movement behind the cabinet to vent it or any unit will burn out.

I would avoid dual zone if you like red wine. The few I’ve seen stay too cold.

I have had a Marvel, 50 bottle for over 20 years. Never an issue. It uses cold coils inside, no internal fan, so corks don't dry out.

It's front venting.

Dual zone
There is no reason to buy a dual zone. All wines can be stored at 55-59 degrees. When you wan the red, bring it up to temp and the white, bring it down in the fridge or ice bucket.
Running that second zone at a lower temp will cause it to blow out and you have half a cabinet working. It is not cheap to fix.

We have single zone Viking and love it. Holds ~60 bottles. The whites on the bottom stay a good 5 or so degrees cooler.

This. In the fridge for ~30 mins or so and you're good.

I'll just piggy back to say, most white wines at 55-59 degrees or thereabouts are the perfect temperature to drink and dont need to be further chilled.*
*especially if it is a white wine one would store and hold onto.
