Do any of you have one of those vacuum cleaners for your pool that you don’t have to hook up to a hose? It is battery operated and operates like a household vacuum. I’m not talking about the robot. I am picking up getting one when I just have a few spots on the bottom of my pool. Otherwise, I’ll just use my robot.

Yes, they don’t work very well, but I use it to get an occasional leaf or minor dirt and debris in small areas. Just for convenience.

I've had this one for a year. No complaints, works well enough.

Yes I have a Jacuzzi brand. It looks like a big dust buster. Apparently there are many variants under many names, but they are all pretty much the same hardware.

I mainly use it to clean the hot tub, the robot gets most of the debris in the pool. You can attach it to a pole and use it in deeper water.

The reviews are mixed, but I have had mine 5+ years with few issues.

I bought the Ryobi pool vac a few weeks ago and it works great. Just pop in a battery and roll. Easy to clean and the vacuum head is close to 12" wide so it doesnt take too long to clean the entire pool if needed. Think it was around $150

No, I never saw the need. The hosed one seems to do a great job. We even named him. His name is Squirty.

my bad I didnt read your full post....
I currently have a wybot C1 2025 upgrade model. I did have to get it replaced under warranty but I bought it before I started redoing my coping and replacing some bad waterline tiles so there was alot of shite being dropped into the pool. It works extremely well. It even has some modes where you can have split up battery usage every day or every other day and it just stays in the pool and wakes up when it is scheduled to run. For 4-500$ if I can make it another year I will be very happy. I am hoping that my first one was due to the craziness I had this thing picking up while doing the work... and that the replacement will last this pool season. very happy with performance for the price

Previously I had a seauto seal se and it also failed within warranty and then the replacement failed not long after and the chinese wouldnt answer my emails anymore. thats when I bought the above. The performance was nowhere near as good as the wybot above.
