Outdoor Patio Fan

Looking for a nice fan for my patio. My patio gets the shade in the evening times and My kids love to be outside. Obviously, it’s still warm in these hot summer days. Looking for something that blows a cool air and not just a fan that blows the warm air outside.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

obviously, a fan can only blow whatever temperature air is there. Anytime air temp gets above your body temperature, the air will feel hot from any fan.
The only thing you can do, would be to buy an evaporative fan or a misting fan. These will work, as long as the relative humidity is not extremely high. I saw some of these fans at Home Depot yesterday.

I just bought the wife a Shark misting fan from Sam's Club. That thing is awesome. It oscillates, blows hard, and is very quiet. We use it in the house at night, then take it outside on the weekends and use the mister. You can even disassemble it and use it as a table-top fan. It 's running now, about 9 feet away and I had to turn off the oscillation because I got cold when it turned towards me. I can't even hear it.

That’s a terrible idea, it makes the house negative which is not a good thing.

Everyone else has pretty much covered it. I also have a tornado fan and it does the job well.
The only other thing I can think of is if you have attic space above the patio, go up there and make sure you have insulation above. If not, you may want to think about putting some. You'd be surprised how much of a difference that makes.
You joke but back when my grandmother was alive, she actually had this done. I don't remember how but my uncle (owned his own A/C business) ran a vent to the back patio and must have had it diverting the main line because the vent was on the far end of the patio and it felt like a blower was in your face 20+ feet away. It was awesome
She only used it when we all went over once a week and hung out there.

I have been using this for four years and it has worked great. The cooler the water the cooler the air will be from it. At times I even put ice in it.

How much moisture does that put in the air? Does it leave moisture on surfaces? I've always read that evaporative cooling fans don't do as well in the south due to the high humidity and dew point.

I use this under my sunsetter awning and we sit about 8' from it. It seems to cool the entire area. Without the awning the heat would defeat the coolness that is created. Prior to sitting out around 4PM each day I fill up the tank with cool water from my hose. I let it run about 10 minutes before we go outside to drink a few cold ones.

After today I may have a better answer for you. The past two days the temperatures were in the upper 90's and the fan did not help too much. I am assuming the humidity was high also. Today the temperature was in the mid 80's with the humidity at 41% and the fan was actually very cool.
