Bought a new house a few months ago. We’ve dealt with poor water pressure since moving in. If you are trying to take a shower while another water source is being used it’s damn near a trickle.

I reached out to the builder, they came out and agreed pressure dropped significantly when another source is running. Tested it and claimed it was a city problem.

City came out and said it’s a gravity feed house and it’s two stories. They said the builder should have installed a 1” main line for more volume.

What say the H&G board?

Youre between a rock and a hard spot. Did they install a 1" feed from the street to the house? Seems like thats the minimum id want.

Worst case scenario you could install a pressure tank. Its not ideal but itll get your pressure up a bit.

Builder installed a 3/4” from meter to home.

The code reads as minimum of 3/4” but factors should be taken into consideration to ensure a larger option isn’t needed.

That’s too small. Mine is 1.5”. Just had to repair it a few months ago.

Typical builder BS. Just put what’s required and not what’s needed. Anything to save a dollar.
