Need to drop a cable line

I want to hang a TV on my back patio. The problem is that there is an old door behind the exterior wall that has a door jam. The cable company can't/won't go through it. Who would I call that could do it? I am in Lafayette. I was thinking of someone like AVI. Any ideas? Thanks.

Could do it yourself with a spade bit.

I should add that the jam is probably 3-4 feet down.

Any home improvement store should have some really long Klein drill bits and extensions if you think you can DIY. They will probably be in the electrical section and not with the other drill bits.

ETA: Does your cable company not have a wifi standalone box? Do they have an app with streaming? Could just use a roku box or something then and not have to drill the hole at all.

That's what it's for. The poster above used more technical terms that may better explain it.

I asked about using something like a firestick. He said that because I have boxes in my house then it wouldn't work. He said you either have boxes or streaming. I know absolutely nothing about all of this.

Drop cable and get WiFi Tv service, like youtube tv. You can put a tv anywhere that has WiFi and power.
I prefer it now and it’s cheaper.

I like this idea, but convincing the wife will be a different story.

I resisted for a while with streaming due to having young kids. Eventually switched and no one in the house, including my now 4 year old, has trouble with streaming. He can pull up Netflix or YouTube tv and put on whatever he wants. If he can do it, your wife can.

Youtube TV is honestly easier to use than cable to me. Only extra step (depending on your TV) is you have to open the app after you turn the tv on. But otherwise it looks and functions much like cable, except there are no channel numbers

YoutubeTV has the Hallmark channel now, your wife should be good
I can’t stand the old cable remote now with a million. Buttons. I’m used to the fire stick remote with three buttons.

You'll save ~$100-200 per month.
I dropped direct TV 5-7yrs ago.
Now my In-laws and my mother have dropped them as well.
ETA: Last time I called directv, my bill was over $350 (6 tvs).
I asked the guy to see what he could do. He said I'd be better off with Hulu because of the number of TVs I have

I'm guessing you have a smart TV ? If so, you can connect to the internet wirelessly via Wi-Fi. All you need is the password. Use remote to access the TV network settings, select wireless, click on the network and enter the password. That simple

Just curious as to what her objection might be. I had this same issue a couple years ago and switched to direct stream and my wife hasn’t really noticed a difference.

Creature comfort. We are going to go streaming. We will try the free youtube TV trial.

It does take some time to get use to not flipping channels or punching the numbers in.
If y’all are like us we only watch a handful of channels anyway and those are usually at the top preview of the home page so it’s really easy.
My biggest gripe, I still hit the fire stick home button trying to get to the YoutubeTV home but instead it gets me out the app. I’ve had this for years and it still gets me
