Anyone have any luck with getting Demco to move transformer box to edge of lot , instead of center of lot and center of house?

Ask. I got Entergy to do the exact same thing like 16 years ago. They hemmed and hawed but did it and I didn't have to pay or anything. Sometimes you just get lucky I guess.

I would think it may also depend on how they ran the underground feeder to it. I guess at worst the feeder can just be abandoned in place but I think to move a transformer to a new pad it would require re-trenching for a cable.

Thanks, for the info, guess I'll start digging into( no pun intended) with Demco and see where my luck goes

4 years ago I had to get entergy to do this. I called them. They charged me $400 because it involved engineers but to me it was worth it.

You need to look into your actual lot dimensions and easesements. A lot of residential homes the first 4-10 ft can actual be an easement for a sidewalk at a later date, so that’s one of the reasons that things are not placed right on the street. My old neighborhood the first 6 ft was easement for most and corner lots the first 8 ft.

These particular lots are narrow and fall off in grade towards the back, so most people buy 2 lots and combine them, and then center the house to keep from having to add dirt if they were to go deep with the house. The box is on the line between the lots. I see some people have had luck with Entergy, but i got no responses with Demco yet.
