Metal landscape edging help

I have metal landscape edging and it has been run over by the wife and kids and I want to try and pull it up in order to help keep my mulch contained. Currently many sections are flush with the concrete. Any ideas on how to pull these up about 2-3 inches so they can serve their purpose?

I’m not a professional but maybe pull them up and put a little quickcrete under it.
You could just pull them back up and set them on top and let the dirt settle back under them.

I have tried pulling them up by locking a vice grip on the edging and prying it up and I could not get it to work. Looking for other ideas. It is not easy to “just pull it up”.

Front end loader and chain

Do you have a good pry bar?

I had same problem and built a simple tool to pull it up above grade.
Get a piece of 36" 1/4 steel round rod from Home Depot, Lowes etc.
Fabrication: Using a vise to hold the rod, insert about 1.5" into vise and bend into a v-shaped hook;
Next, at a right angle to the hook and 24" up the rod- bend a 90 degree T shaped handle;
Next bend the rod 180 to lay back over the 90 (double up the handle) and cut to length.
"flush with the concrete" My edging is not next to concrete - may be more difficult to get hook under edging next to concrete.
Push the hook into ground next to edging and rotate hook under edging to grab and lift up. Works well.

Can you not get a shovel down on the non-concrete side deep enough to pry it out? Long shovel, more leverage.

Pull harder or hit the gym

Hire day labor from your local HD? Hand them a shovel. Enjoy your AC.
