I'm in a condo and probably won't be here too much longer, but needed to upgrade. I was able to score the following deal. So it's as much about optics for me as it is high quality appliances that I won't be able to recoup my costs on.

I was also eligible for a bunch of rebates that lead to the final all in price for all 4 pieces being about $2,800. Not bad considering the refrigerator alone is usually about $2,200 and the stove $1,100 on homedepot.com (though they're reduced a bit right now)

1 LFXC22526S $1,678.00 LG Appliance
22 cu.ft. 3 Door French Door, Ice & Water Dispencer, Stainless Steel

1 LRG3194ST $698.42 LG Appliance
5.4 cu.ft. Gas Single Oven Range with Fan Convection, EasyClean, Self Clean, Wide Grate, Panel Touch Control, Rectangular Griddle, Stainless Steel

1 LDT5678ST $635.10 LG Appliance
Top control with towel bar handle, QuadWasher, 3rd Rack, Wi-Fi, EasyRack Plus, 46dB, Stainless Steel

1 LMV2031ST $1.00 LG Appliance
2.0 cu.ft. OTR, 400 CFM, Sensor

I basically went and talked to a guy that's local, then found the best deal I could online, and then went back to the local guy and told him the business was his if he could beat it. That's how I ended up with the discounts I got on the fridge and stove and a $1 microwave

I just moved into a new house a month ago. I’m replacing every kitchen appliance with the exception of the fridge we brought.

We are going all Whirlpool

So far we’ve replaced the dishwasher, cooktop, hood vent, & microwave. I’m currently shopping the wall oven.

Have an LG dishwasher at the moment that works great.

Any reason behind this?

Same reason I wouldn’t recommend a Whirlpool/Bosch TV. It’s not what they are good at. For the brands mentioned, ask any repair guy and they always lean to Whirlpool for both reliability and ease of repair when issues arise.

For my personal preference, I go Kitchenaid slightly higher $$, then Thermador $$$, then Wolf/SubZero $$$$.

my brand new samsung dishwasher went out the first time 2 months after we moved into our new construction home. brand new fridge stopped making ice after 6 months. dishwasher finally died after 2 years.

samsung is absolute trash when it comes to appliances.

I must be the lucky one. The entire kitchen is Samsung...it's what the wife wanted because of its "looks". Double oven, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove top and fancy fridge...all working fine after 2 years.

let me knock on some wood here real quick.

I like my LG dishwasher, I just don't like that it lacks a heating element for the drying cycle...so the dishes don't dry completely which can potentially lead to a smelly tub. This may be an issue with other brands as well on new models because of the whole push for energy efficiency.

How do you guys feel about convection/non-convection ranges and stainless vs plastic internals for dishwashers?

we have never used the convection feature on our oven. plastic is fine inside a dishwasher but the metal ones quieter.

Definitely stainless tub. Night and day difference especially as they age.
