We want a new kitchen faucet and the price ranges are wild.
Looking for one that switches from pour to shower on the handle.
At this point our budget is $25,000
What yall got?

Delta touch faucet. I think I have one called Essa. Should be about $300 from Home Depot.

Not gonna lie, love our delta touch. I look down upon others who don’t have touch faucets.

I'd skip the touch faucet. Eventually they break and you either have to spend and arm and a leg to fix the touch part of it or disconnect, in which case you're back to just a regular faucet. I would start with the regular faucet in the first place and skip the fancy add-ons like touch or waving your hand to turn it on.
Also, there is a difference in quality between what you buy off the shelf at Home Depot or Lowes and what you can get from a plumbing supplier (like LCR or Coburns).

I had an older Delta touch at my old house. They send free parts of needed. It's pretty robust. What's the name of the Delta touch that the plumbing supply house has?

If it fails, it becomes a regular faucet. No issues after 3 years for me.

Wrong. A friend who works for Coburn’s told me to come in and pick out everything with them then buy online to save money. He said everything’s the same, guts and all. Same part numbers. Same serial numbers, etc.

Probably would not be cost effective to produce different models for different stores. I'm sure they have a few HD exclusive items but they still carry a lifetime warranty. Had a shower head like this.

I feel like I should buy stock in Duracell with my Delta touch. I’ve never seen something chew through batteries so fast.

Batteries last about a year (6 AA batteries). Alternatively, you can buy a wall plug adapter. And you should have an outlet under your sink for your dish washer.

I've never had this issue. Maybe email them and see what they say. Mine usually last 2 years. There's also an AC adapter available.

I had a very informative talk with a good plumber. He thinks that Delta faucets are well designed, made and backed by warrenty. His experience is that most faucet failures are due to long-term use of scouring powders and cleaners with hydrocarbon solvents. Both eventually make contact with and deteriorate silicon and plastic parts. Clean elaborate faucets with water and a microfiber cloth.

Whatever you do don’t buy your hardware from a box store. Find a plumbing supply place like LCR because the internal parts are a much better quality.

So you think the internals on the same models are different at different stores? This would cost delta more in sure than using the same parts. Not sure where this started(maybe plumbers ripping people off) but it can't be true.

quote:This wasn’t my experience. The actual faucets were the same regardless of vendor. The valves from Coburns were definitely better, however. I’m not sure if you can find the same quality valves at the big box stores like Home Depot or not, but I didn’t want to go with a subpar valve in case of failure inside a wall.

ETA - the Coburns salesperson told me the valves are different quality but I didn’t look into it.

I’ve got Newport Brass fixtures in my house and they’re very well made. I had an issue with the sprayer on the kitchen faucet and they sent me a no charge replacement the next day (their fixtures are all covered by a 10 year warranty).

The only issue I have with the touch faucet is you get so use to it. I am out hear touching everyone's faucets 2-3 times before I realize I am an idiot

I have a knock off china brand i bought for $50 on amazon. it's been fine for over a year. install was a breeze compared to other faucets i have installed also.
