So thanks to the window licking tard goldendoodle of my wife's I have already spent an absorbent amount of money trying to keep him contained in the back yard.

The dumbass even has an invisible fence on the fence. Turned up as high as it will go, fresh batteries. He just takes the shock.

I've run the guidewire on the bottom. He pushes on it until the gator clips give out.

I've stacked logs and rocks in front of the fence. Digs until he moves them, all the while getting shocked.

I've hammered rebar into spots he has gone through. Finds a new spot.

Alas, if he can't get under he keeps at it until he damages the fence enough to make a hole to get through.

Besides getting rid of him, which is very possible, is there any other ideas? I've seen the dog defence stuff but that would cost me several grand as I have about 3/4 of an acre fenced in.

throw his arse over the fence and tell the wife he got out and ran away

if that doesnt work drive him about 20 miles away and drop it off somewhere, some kid will give it a home and then its not your problem any more

He needs some exercise. I had the same problem with my border collie and hated when people would tel me to exercise him more.

I started doing it and he stopped digging. Before that he did everything your doodle does other than the self electric therapy

They have a 3/4 acre back yard. He runs around all day.

He breaks out to play with dogs in the other yards. That's right he breaks out of a fenced in yard into a fenced in yard.

They will run back and forth along the fence barking at each other for hours.

He barely plays with the 3 other dogs we have. He won't fetch. He looks like a fish on a hook when you put him on a leash.

He is 60 lbs of stupid. He doesn't even like to be petted or anything.

Ok maybe he’s not fixable. Cayenne pepper in the soil so it hurts to dig? I dunno.

Have you tried putting dog poop around the fence line.

I'm pretty sure I could put actual fire around the fence and he would still do it.

He jumped over the rail of the deck over the 6 foot fence to chase a cat.

This is what I did when my Dobermans would dig by the fence. Fill up the holes with poop and they would not go near it. But then, that dog likes to electrocute himself to get out. So poop probably doesn't pose much of a threat.

I have 200 linear feet of these and they do the trick:

Is that the dig defence?

I've got about 300-400 linear feet. Of chain link. The rest is wood.

Its been about 3 years since I put them in and I don't recall the name, but Dig Defense might be it. I purchased the ones that are 28" long below ground IIRC. I have an Airdale Terrier and that SOB digs like nobody's business. He's only escaped twice before I installed the spikes and all he did was follow my neighbor inside their home and make himself comfortable on their sofa.

He just got out again and bit the neighbors dog. We're fricked now.

He's got to go.

Had a problem under my gate years ago. Took a weed eater and scalped grass. Took a hog panel and put it under the gate and let grass grow over it. If dog wants out now he has to dig a 4 ft tunnel. He does that and he deserves to be able to run the neighborhood.

Have you tried dumping some cayenne pepper in the hole and refilling it? Worked well for me on another dog I had when I was renting a home years ago.

If he's biting he's not your wife's adorable little buddy any longer.

He had already earned a harness and cable run of the back yard, every confining bit of it (such would have been for his own good), and now it's too late. Brother had to do similar with a English Bulldog that took a liking to the neighbors chickens. Come after school when the nephews were there he was free and only then. I'm mean if he's bold enough to walk into someone else's home. . . because next time it might be a child and no one wants to be that guy!

I had one neighbor dispute when I lived in a subdivision (thankfully, no more) and it was over their barking dog.

They'd let it out in the afternoon after being crated all day. It had the most horrible bark/shriek and wouldn't stop until they let it in for the night.

I finally told them I was going to call animal control (after multiple requests for them to address it). That ended what was a cordial relationship.

Thankfully sold the house shortly after. I was on the verge of doing some very inhumane things to that dog.

In short, if you have a dog, control it. No one wants to hear or deal with your "baby".
