I'm considering buying an EGO lawnmower and some other equipment. Thoughts?

It seems like EGO has been mentioned before and people here have a favorable opinion of them. The reviews online are pretty good as well.

I have a small yard (6,000-7000 sq ft of St Aug.). My current gas mower needs some repairs that would probably cost more than it's worth so I'm in the market for something new. My trimmer is roughly 15 years old.
While it runs just ok, it's getting to be harder to start every time I use it and it isn't quite are easy to use as it was a few years ago. So I'm considering buying the EGO 21" self propelled and an EGO trimmer. My current blower and edger are fine, but I will probably swap those to EGO if I find deals down the road so I'm not messing with gas at all. So my questions are...

1) anyone have good or bad EGO experience they care to share?

2) Is there drawbacks to buying the trimmer as a multi-tool or should I get a traditional one that has the detachable head? The cost today wouldn't be that much different and the better trimmers aren't part of the multi-head system. I'm thinking about buying the trimmer with the carbon fiber shaft and power load. When/if I buy the edger, I could buy it as a mulit-head bare tool so I have the head unit if I ever want to expand the collection.

TIA

I have the trimmer and the small blower. They work pretty well. Never dealt with customer service but I hear they are great.

I would not get the self propelled. I have a Ryobi electric and they are so light I don't see the need for it.

I don't really need it. If I go that route, the main reason I'd get it is for the 3-ish times per year my wife wants to mow. I also like that it adds a little weight to the mower. I like my St Aug kinda tall. I don't like to scalp my yard like a lot of people do. I feel like the light weight is almost a downside to the electric mowers, but I admittedly have no experience with them.

It is light enough that your wife would have no trouble with it.

I've had the mower for two years now. I went with the self propelled version but in hindsight wish I had just went with the normal one as I never use the drive system. As the other poster said, it's so light you don't need it. My wife will occasionally mow the yard, and even she doesn't use the self-propelled feature.

I also have the blower. Zero issues with either one. I keep the battery stored in mud/laundry room with the rest of my battery-powered DeWalt tools, but the mower and blower stay in a shed outside. Temp fluctuations from being outside have not made a difference for either one's performance. The battery definitely needs to stay indoors though.

On my 2nd season with self propelled EGO. Live on a lake, so decent inclines, No problems. Love it,,,recharges in about 45 mins. Bought extra 3 year warranty for $75,,good for 8 years..battery not included in warranty, unless defect.

Which battery do you use and how long does it last?

I have the 7.5A battery. I can mow the front and back of my lot that's roughly a 1/4 acre on one charge and have juice left over to run the blower for cleanup on the driveway and sidewalk.

Have the mower and need to get the other pieces.

No complaints at all, it’s great, battery lasts a long time and only takes about 15 min to fully charge. Mower is quiet, good cut and folds up for easy storage. Not having to worry about having gas and oil on hand is another plus for those days I just quickly need to get it cut.

Does it look gay? Sure. Will your neighbors make a joke about it? Probably. But who cares
