I had it done a couple of years ago, but I'd like to spray it myself this year. They sprayed something that just killed the Bermudagrass and not the centipede or st. augustine.

Hi Yield Grass Killer, works great at killing the Bermuda, but perfectly safe on Centipede!

I used MSM Turf (metsulfuron methyl) to control bahiagrass in my lawn (area used to be an old dairy pasture so bahiagrass was prevalent). Read the label and use the high recommended rate. Labeled for use in Bermudagrass. Repeat application in 4 to 6 weeks. Expect some yellowing of the Bermudagrass but it will recover.

Yes what Lion said, sethoxydim. Also sold as Fertilome Over The Top 11 if you have trouble finding the Hi Yield product. It’s what I use in my centipede lawn. Expect a little yellowing of the centipede but it will recover. Maybe 2-3 weeks before you start seeing the results.

Sethoxydim is not safe on St Aug

Metsulfuron methyl (MSM Turf) is safe on St Aug, Centipede and Bermudagrass.

I was lucky I guess, in the areas I had Bermuda and Bahia, the Bermuda actually choked out the Bahia grass. I can't get my centipede to grow very well, tried a few times in backyard but in areas with partial shade.

Any of yous come up with a way to kill Dalisgrass in Centipede? The local nursery guy told me “Round Up your whole yard, till, re-sod, douse the whole thing with Deisel, set it on fire and then move to a new house.
