Never used those, but for $60 I found LED light fixture that screws into existing light bulb socket. It has 4 swivel head LEDs that can be positioned any direction, and now my 150
Square feet of attic space is bright af.

I was looking at going that route but I only have a single 4' fixture in my garage. I didnt have the sockets. I liked the idea of being able to "aim" the light where I needed it. I have my shop in my garage now and that would have been a nice feature. I would have had to do wiring and my attic has about 15" of insulation over the garage and its hot AF.

I can add the hexagon ones and not have to go in the attic. Im a fan of that

Well they came in and I installed them today. Install went well. My plan did not work exactly like I wanted it to. (pattern) because I did not have enough connectors and I am short a few lights. I will order a 24 piece kit and complete the 4 or 5 missing Hex's. I ordered the 72 piece kit on Amazon for about $170.

I highly recommend making a design before you buy to make sure you have the amount of parts you need. I did but only counted lights and not connectors.

My final design. I need a few more pieces to finish

For now, I am running them off a smart plug that is connected to my garage door outlet. My plan is to run them off the circuit that the old 4' fluorescent light is connected to. I just didnt have the heart to do it today. I will do that this weekend or wait till the other parts come in and do it all at one time

I cant stress the amount of light that this thing is putting out. Its 5000K and I like the color. Im not sure if mine are dimmable but that would be a great thing to have. Just a dimmer switch on the wall. I will check in to that. Though Id probally crank them all the way up anyway. I do a lot of assembly, light painting and jig tying in there now so I need the light. I think its going to be perfect. Plus, when I am pulling orders, I need to be able to see the packaging so I get the right product. My eyes are not what they once was.

Helpful hints. You are going to be putting a lot of sheet rock anchors in the ceiling. Get a good set up. The kits come with the old fashion sheet rock anchors where you drill a hole, drive a plastic anchor in and then use a screw to flare it. I used these as they are much easier to use, they make less mess and they are barely visible if I had to somehow take these down.

I would say it took me about two or three hours total to finish them. Fairly easy though I was working around a bunch of stuff. I started in the middle and worked my way out.

Wow that's sunny bright light!! My ceiling is 17' or so high in my garage so I'm going to need a tall ladder to hang them

There’s tons of options here to do it the ‘normal’ way with recessed fixtures or the fixtures that are ceiling mounted. You could fairly easily run exposed conduit and paint it, as an example.

The only issue with Chinese temu lights is when one bulb burns out or you have an issue you maybe forced to replace the entire thing without having parts available for repair or replacement.

No the case with this system. Each light is feed from both sides and the lights are not in series. So if the led on one burns out, all the others keep on. They actually send you two extra lights with the 72 piece kits. I think they said they should have a life expectancy of 25K hours.

Got bored yesterday and installed a vertical storage rack in there. I bought two of these things about a year and a half ago and they've been leaning up against the wall in my garage in the box since then. I didn't want to tackle hanging them. I'm gonna do the other one today. I put them above my garage door, which is kind of dead space but because of the garage door, I only have 23 inches from the rack to the ceiling for storage. There are 4 x 6' each so that should still offer a lot of storage in a area that nothing will be. The installation was not as much trouble as I thought. I will do the other one today.

All I need now is to get my mini split in there and I will be set. Not a big hurry for that right now and I need to save some funds for it. I was planning on just doing it myself but Im running into a lot of snags doing that. I think I will just find a company to do it for me.

Stealing a neighbor's idea, 20 years ago I built racks above my garage doors to store all our hurricane shutters - most are the old school corrugated AL and some clear. Works pretty well and a good use of that space.

I installed those as well but my garage ceiling is 17' or so and even buying extra long extensions so they are lower that has presented a challenge I wasn't expecting which is having to use a ladder and now maneuvering heavy Rubbermaids is terrifying and difficult.

Kind of defeats the purpose as I have to lighten the contents of them or I can't get them up and down. :looking at you 12' tree in a box:

back in the 70’s my dad would take us to the hwy 190 service road in Covington and cut down a big longleaf pine…and then wet flock it with a water hose in the driveway

17 foot? frick that. LOL. My Ceilings are 9-6. And I dont like ladders. I installed the other rack today and started putting things on them. They are going to be a great addition. I guess my move the shop vacation is over. Back to work tomorrow in the new shop. I am running a big sale for Black Friday weekend and Im getting behind on orders. Will be busy tomorrow but today, I rest. I moved about 10K pounds of inventory from upstairs at my old building and brought it all all the shelving / tables to my garage by myself the last two weeks. Im tired and not doing a thing the rest of the day.

Trying to find a contractor to install my mini split AC unit now but I have some time before that is needed. Cooling temps are fine out there.

That is a great place for them too. I have them stacked in the corner of my garage. They are metal. You can see them in this picture. The new ones stack nicely and do not take up much space.

And that space above the garage door is dead space for anything else. Great use of it putting some hanging racks up there for anyone

Damn brah your business is about 20 minutes from my house.

Any good lures you recommend for fishing off of my dock? Sick of using live bait and catching catfish.

Where is your dock? Freshwater or on the bay? Yes I am off Clark road near I75. I think we discussed this when the hurricanes came through last year.

I knew you lived in Sarasota. Didn't realize you had a business.

I'm on the bay. Over in Apollo Beach/Ruskin.

Any recs lure-wise? I'll place an order through your website later today.

Strong current. Prefer something where I can sit in my chair, listen to music, and reel/cast.
