I did the same thing but installed it under the eave and extends out 16’. The low side is still high enough to walk under even with a 2x8 header.

Do like your drawing but go to the peak, less chance of roof leaks than if you had 2 changes in pitch.

That was just an example I pulled off of google. My drawings are sloppier.

Left side is current shed drawn to scale, right is showing what the pitch would look like if I added 8' to the side.



Would be ugly. I'm probably going to end up having it hauled off and rebuilding the more I look at it.

ETA: I haven't had to use cad at work since 2017. I figured I'd remember something but other than drawing a line I forgot everything

Sorry just seeing this but yes, just like that. Ran some thin sheet metal under the shingles and over the transition to the metal roof that I added.

The way I did mine I used the same siding the tuff shed had so it all looked like it came that way.
