25% sale is back on through 7/6/22. My toro just died while mowing the last time out on Monday and when i saw the 25% sale was on again, I took it as a sign. i got my 60V pro push mower ordered for around $330 with a 5 Ah battery. I hope I like it.

Got a link? It doesn't look like its discounted on their website. I picked up the 40v Ryobi last week to cut some smaller sections of my yard and haven't been impressed. I am returning it to Home Depot.

Discount code is "firework". It is the first big banner that loads when you visit the site.
You apply it to your cart.

I guess I am a hypocrite since I will never buy a electric car, but definitely want a electric zero turn in the future. It’s really just which is the best tool for the job. For me a electric car doesn’t work, but the mowers will.
I am in agreement with this for the homeowner. I just got a self-propelled Ego mower (not zero turn) and really like it. I’m doing just my yard and it is great for that.
I don’t see how a lawn business could go electric though as California wants them to do. If I bought just one extra battery for my mower it would be several hundred dollars. It is apparently more than half the cost of the mower.

I got a Greenworks mower several years ago from PepBoys, when they were forced to sell them for next to nothing due to a lawsuit settlement. It was with the old lead-acid rechargeable battery, though, and it worked pretty well for a while but the battery got considerably weaker by year 3.
Replaced it a couple of years ago with the lithium cell model. It works fantastic, and when Lowes dumped Greenworks for Ego in 2021 they put all of their GW lawn equipment on deep discount. I picked up a string trimmer and a blower in a package for $200, which included a new 60V battery and charger, which is compatible with the mower.
All working great for me on 1/3 of an acre. Can get most of the yard cut on one fully charged battery, and just barely tap into the 2nd. And no $4 a gallon gas to worry about.

So I was considering the Ego Trimmer and Blower. Is Greenworks supposed to be as good or better?

both are name brands. Greenworks tends to be at a lower price point. Not sure one is better than the other. EGO is probably more of a Cadillac.

I was given the Ego self-propelled mower for my birthday/Father's Day. I took it back for the push because I like the extra exercise and figured the battery would last longer. I cut my front yard and if I read the battery correctly when placing on the charger, I think i had around 25% left. My backyard is mainly pool/deck/landscaping, so I think it's got enough juice for me to do both next time

I have the push mower, edger, weed eater, blower, chainsaw, pole saw, and hedge trimmer. All purchased on sale and mostly bundled. I'm up to (2) 2A, a 4A, and a 5A battery. All for about $1,200.

EGO is probably the better all round option but Greenworks is right there with them for mower units. Some critics give the mower edge to Greenworks. No point in cross branding.

Even the subject of grass mowing is politicized now!
Net is a longtime member of the LTD (lower the deck) movement. He eventually moved to a postion of power within his local HOA and decried "equal mow times for all", while himself using funds of the Motherhood (Mother Neighborhood) to continue his LTD campaign and live like a lawn Oligarch drunk on nitrogen supplements.
Eventually, the peasants (as he called them) became wise to what was happening and revolted. They chopped off the heads of his prized sago palms and mowed down a row of his Russian Royal Sage as he watched helpless on his security cameras.
Since then they have sanctioned his use of potash and 13-13-13 which leads Net to rail on anyone using anything more than a sickle to tend their grass.

Got the mower yesterday. Heavier than expected but it is a steel deck so not sure what I expected.
Everything feels really solid and well built. I like the battery level indicators on both the battery and the mower handle. On regular speed it sure doesn't seem all that powerful but with turbo on feels more like a regular mower. Haven't cut anything yet to compare.

First mow in the books. That was so different I will wait to judge if I like it or not. That doesn't compare to any push mower experience I have ever had.
