Year old a/c unit and brand new sealed ductwork. When dusting will have light gray lint even on bathroom floor. Anyone know what might be causing it.

You have carpet or area rugs?

No. Can’t figure out where it would be coming from.

It’s not small pieces of blown insulation, huh?

Yes. Dryer in a separate building.

Thought it might be blown insulation but had all new duct work installed . Everything sealed that I can see.
They replaced everything in the attic and outside.

You don't have new towels do you? Even from the last year or so? My dark blue towels took about 2 years to quit leaving lint all over the bathroom, even on top the toilet and countertop.

It's called dust. I've not lived in a house where dust wasn't present. If you have pets, it is compounded with hair loss.
It is way more prevalent in older homes. Make sure your A/C filter is swapped out regularly to prevent buildup and blowby.
I am waiting on a new, permanent A/C filter made of fine mesh metal in a metal frame that can be taken out, washed and blow dried before replacing and doing away with those pleated or spun filters. Better filters, better protection.

No pets. And I replace the filter monthly. And just replaced the one in the unit in the attic. Lived here 22 yrs. Originally put it on cracks in a/c intake in attic, but I have brand new everything, replaced last summer.
Could it be pieces from the filter?

I doubt that or you'd see pieces missing from your filter when you change them.

If you didn’t have this problem before the new HVAC and ductwork was installed it sounds as though there is a leak somewhere on the return air supply in the HVAC ducts or air handler (negative air pressure) in the attic pulling in attic dust and distributing it through the house.
Brand new system you have a 1 year labor warranty so give the HVAC company call and have them check it. If they are a good company with good experienced diagnostic HVAC techs and there is a air leak they will find and fix it.
