I need to change all of the door knobs and locks on the house and want them all keyed alike. Where’s the best place to go in pville/br area? I don’t want to buy 5 locks from Lowe’s and end up with 5 different keys.

Our Lowes will key all the locks the same for you. Might check that out

Davis in the shopping center with Calandro's at Perkins and Seigen can fix you up.

You can get QuikSet locks and re-key them all to one key yourself too.

The plan was to do the kwikset but they don’t have a selection of matte black and that’s what I need. Schlage has a ton to choose from.

Locksets have codes on the back of the package.

The keys are the same for those with matching codes.

Yep for sure and Lowes will re-key a lock system. I purchased 2 of 3 Schalage locks with matching codes and Lowes re-keyed the third for a nominal price.

Kwikset makes matte black in square and circle. We have them on our two entry doors.

Some of the newer knobs have a self keying function

I keyed locks for a long time. It’s super easy. That being said I wouldn’t trust Lowe’s. Find an Ace hardware or some local hardware store. I have also seen many people mess up the Kwikset smart key. I get the “it doesn’t work” but the instructions are still in the box.

You could also try build.com. There is an option to key alike.

Kwikset Smartkey is what you want. You can rekey it yourself (in about 30 seconds) to work with any 5 pin key. If the key is "KW1" and looks like below, it will work:

Also, they have black matte versions on Amazon.

Or if you want low profile locks:

If you don't want to order from Amazon, then Home Depot should have a good selection of all colors. (I am not sure about Lowe's).
