I have Simpli Safe. Works pretty well, and you can buy individual components to flesh it out as much as you see fit.

I have Frontpoint. Seems to work ok, but lately I've had some hardware issues with sensors

Ring. Cheaper per month and the customer service is not as Indian. I switched from simplisafe when by base station broke.

Just did the ring system. Bought everything on prime day for pretty much half off. Think a lot marked down again for black friday. I liked the interface with amazon products and the 100 bucks a year for monitoring was great. Really like the fit and finish of the new generation 2 components and how easy everything is to work with.

FYI When you shop ring, they offer 20% discounts for everyone.

Students, teachers, nurses, doctors, military, senior, etc.

I have a QSee system and it's been great overall. Got it at Costco a few years back and really haven't had any issues. It was the top of the line at that time but it's still crystal clear and has put some baws in jail

I put up several Ring cameras at my moms (including the doorbell) and that thing is a PITA because every shadow that gets cast on a wall triggers the motion detector with an alert.

I have SimpliSafe for my alarm monitoring, and a Swann system for my cameras.

I have a separate camera system because I wanted something wired that I could keep on a battery back-up.

Down side to having a separate system, is the alarm company has nothing to review to assist if a sensor was triggered. Up side, I control my own backups and it's on a battery back-up (lasted about 12 hours after outage during Zeta)

I got this off of Amazon for $225, comes with 8 cameras and a 1TB hard drive. There's no monthly fee and the cameras are surprisingly clear, especially at night. You can also check the cameras on your phone with the app.
