Anyone recently add a slab patio to their home? Trying to get an idea of what the price per square foot should be before I get estimates.

$6-$8/sq ft here in North Alabama

What thickness you looking for? I’d say $10 per sf is probably a safe bet

$12.00/ sq. ft. and up in NOLA for non-jackleg contractors.

Just had a 12x23 patio done. $2,500. They dowelled into my house slab with rebar every 12" the length of the slab also. Kenna Brah.

Excavated 6” down, then laid a 17.5’ x 12’ concrete pad 3” in depth with forms and rebar. On the top I put Bayou-style bricks from Acme in Baton Rouge.
I had 75% of the bricks and mortar already. Had to buy a strap of bricks and two bags of mortar to finish and paid a little more for sand.
Cost me $2,200 without paying for 75% of the cost of the materials I already had.
Had a Mexican crew recommended to me. Was not pleased with some of their tactics but they did really good work.

I wish prices in Dallas were like that. I got quotes on a 500sq ft patio that ranged from $4500 to $12,000. Went with $4500 guy at first, but he kept postponing for months. Finally gave up on him and went with a paver patio since at $6k it was cheaper than our next bid by $2k
