have you checked with local plumbing supply houses. Not for new tubs but i feel like i've seen old metal tubs stacked up behind the local coburns.

While old cast iron tubs are really cool, they suck the heat out of your water quickly,,,,,just know if you want to soak for a while, your probably going to be changing out water frequently

Im not familiar with PEX, is there any concerns on freezing?

I put a couple drain down valves in the supply lines everything else should gravity drain and the fixtures are freeze proof
I think it should be OK

shower walls, fixtures
found another tub this weekend picking it up this afternoon.
next will be framing the tub wall, installing fixtures, then the perimeter low walls which will be hog panel and wood framing

I still don’t get how the action will occur if you’re in your separate tubs, but it would be nice to have a soak by yourself after two minutes of hard work.

Indoor plumbing is soooo 20th century. We've moved back outdoors with style.

It would also be cool to clean my tub with a backpack leaf blower.
