The basket is too small. It’s also slow.
I like a spotless pool so we use our robot 2-3 times each week. The dirt compartment is fine. We clean ours after each use. Takes 3 hours to clean hour pool. Drop him in the morning and the pool is ready by noon.
I vacuum by hand about once a month for a deep cleaning and get to areas a robot can't reach.

Our deep end is like 10 feet deep and it’s just not possible when it gets colder. We use a local company to do the chemicals but I may just need them to spot check it once a month.

I used a robot vac last year that connected via the skimmer hole, but it would always get hung up on the main drain covers.
First of all, that's not a robot. Secondly, it's fixed by turning up the skimmer suction and turning down the main.

I have the Zodiac 9550 Sport...it’s been about 3 years and it works great...I change the filter about every year...$55 on Amazon.
It’s expensive, but it works....and DO NOT get the version with the remote—you will never use it...ever. It’s hard to operate with the remote. The 4 wheel drive works for me as the pool is gunite and has odd curves/corners, so the traction comes in handy.
It does pick up fine grains of sand as well as every other thing that drops to the bottom.
It has an option to scale the walls too, and can scrub the walls up to the waterline.
I would buy one again. Hope that helps.

Looked at the reviews and it looks great but it seems to be sold out everywhere.
Amazon has some back in stock

Bought a Nautilus CC Plus two weeks ago, and am very happy with its performance! Cleans far better than the Polaris we used for the last 15 years! Climbs the pool wall and cleans the waterline!
