so you enjoy paying 500 a cord?

I just found someone who will stack and deliver to BR or Nola for 175 for a face cord.

Do NOT use the Firewood Guys in Baton Rouge. Total ripoff!

Two years ago I bought a half cord from them, delivered and stacked, for $175. $175! And it was soaked!

I got home and saw how wet it was so I called them. They apologized and said that it was because it had recently rained. I reminded them that they advertise that all their wood is covered to protect from the rain. They countered that it rained during the delivery and it got wet while in the truck. I reminded them that although the roads were still wet at the time, it hadn't rained in over 12 hours. That's when they offered to come back the next day and replace it with dry wood.

I accepted that offer.

I watched from work on my security cameras as they came the next day to replace it. Got home from work to find only slightly less wet wood.

They were either pissed at me for complaining and intentionally gave me soaked wood or they don't take care of their shite.

Either way, frick them. I just bought very dry wood from a local guy in Ascension Parish for $145 for a half cord. I stacked it myself but it was still very worth it over my previous experience with The Firewood Guys.

They should be known as the "Wetwood Guys".

Following, for a lead on some quality pecan or oak, to be used for cooking, so I don't want crap mixed in.

I believe the guy on Staring's place was torn down for some new development right? I bought a house around there this spring and don't recall seeing him anymore. Maybe where the new church is being built?

This is why we cut, split, and stack it ourselves.

It's not only cheap, but also enjoyable
