I have a 1 gallon can for 2 stroke gas but I ain't throwing it out at the end of a season. Drop an ounce of Stabil in it. Y'all throwing away money for no reason.

I have been using avgas on my 2 stroke motors for 20 years and have mentioned it several times on this forum plus a few others. Oddly no one has taken me seriously.

weedeater 20 years old and going strong.
Chain saw 18 years old and going strong.
blower 12 years old and going strong.

All Shindaiwa products

I have been using regular gas with ethanol in it plus 2 stroke oil in my chainsaws, trimmers and blower.

Echo Trimmer 13 years
Husqvarna Chainsaw 19 years
Stihl blower 7 years (first gas blower I ever bought)

I run the gas out of them after each use and have never had issues with them. All still work fine and my fuel never costs $20 per gallon.

Aviation fuel isn't exactly as available as E0, E10, or even pre-mixed stuff. I can buy a few gallons of Sunoco turbo blue easier than buy avgas where I am. I personally would not run any leaded fuel in my yard equipment. I've got a mid-90's Stihl 025 and an even older Craftman hedge trimmer and they both have run on E10 mixed fuel and still going strong. Proper seasonal maintenance matters more than anything else.

Well, it depends on what you mean. I have changed one $5.99 primer bulb on my Echo. I didn't change it "with ethanol" and likely not because of ethanol (I use it a lot). But, even if the ethanol caused the bulb to crack after 10 years, it took 5 minutes to change and cost much less than a gallon of TruFuel.

I've never had to change a fuel line.

Ethanol won't damage fuel lines and carburetor parts in equipment made in the last 15 years or so, just like automobiles they've been using fuel system parts that do not degrade simply because of ethanol. What does damage fuel lines still is age and exposure to sunlight, I just replaced the primer bulb on a Shindaiwa T242 that a yard guy keeps on his trailer. Guy uses E0 and good 2-stroke mix and the bulb still split in the middle, hardened with exposure. Fuel lines were still good because the are mostly shielded by the plastic housing around the air filter and carb.

I’ve run 100LL mixed with belray synthetic si7 in my blower, weed eater, and dirt bike for several years now.

I do it mostly for the smell though. Love that sweet smell of gas and oil burning. It’s the scientific process at work.
