anyone turned a spot sprayer into a boom sprayer

I have a 15 gallon spot sprayer that I have been using around the house but mostly at the camp. Its evident I dont get even distribution when spraying. I was thinking of trying to convert it to a boom sprayer and see lots of options, looking for some feedback if anyone has had success doing so.
Current Sprayer
Do you think This would work
Or does anyone have a better setup idea?

I did.
Bought a length of 1”x1” tubing, went to JD store, bought 3 spray nozzles, mounted boom on JD utility cart, pull behind my mower. Easy peasy…

I converted mine to a boom less sprayer and get fantastic coverage. The nozzle I use sprays a 180deg pattern about 15ft wide. I rigged it up to a piece of aluminum tubing and plywood where it sits flat on the back of my ATV, with the nozzle about foot higher.
I have the same (or very similar) tank from TSC. The problem with that tank is the pump is trash. I’d suggest spending a little bit on the 2.0+ GPM pump instead of the 1.0 if you want to go boomless. I tried the 1 gpm and it just couldn’t atomize the spray like was needed to get the full pattern.
I spray 4 acres, so the wider coverage is necessary and I don’t need a precise control.

This is exactly what I need for my yard! I have 4 acres as well that I want to spray. Can you post some pics of the setup?

I actually just finished washing off the ATV after trying to spray the swampy part of the property and sinking it. I was going to try to get a video of the spray pattern but it’s still half full of Glyphosate. This weather has been ridiculous.
Here’s the nozzle I use: Amazon Link
Here’s the upgraded pump (I also saw TSC sells an upgraded pump as well): Amazon Link
Just a simple sprayer setup on the ATV:

I use a RainBird water sprinkler mounted to the hose. You can get them in different patterns and adjust easily for the cost of $5.

I use a black rain with great success. If you visit the web site and watch the video showing the lawn mower its my mower. I was getting about a 14-15' wide spray pattern.
About a month ago my neighbor and I were talking about the nozzle wondering if pointing it back at 45 degrees rather than straight down would improve the spray width. It did to over 22'.

I have a 15 gallon sprayer with a 2.4 GPM pump with the Black Rain Sprayer nozzle attached to the back rack of my atv.
I use it to spray insecticide(bifenthrin) over my lawn, and gyphosphate/2-4d as a burndown treatment on areas I don't care to mow or bushog. The Black Rain boomless nozzle does a great job with coverage.
I flush tank, hoses, and pump with a combo of 5 gallons of clean water and 1/2 gallon of pure ammonia after every glyphophate use. If you don't you will be buying a new pump every year.

Most of the atv boomless nozzle mounting positions I see in videos are horizontal as are mine. Do you get better coverage with your nozzle in that vertical spray position?
It looks like vertical will spray farther.

My sprayer is larger than that but I converted it to boomless and used Hamilton #10 brass nozzle. It has worked great, mine runs off a pto roller pump and I get about 35 feet coverage. Works great because that is a comfortable easy turn radius for my tractor. That way I dont have strips I miss. I actually just bought 2 more nozzles and a new controller to allow me to spray the sides of roads without spraying the road itself. Hopefully it will keep me from having to swing a bush axe.
Your sprayer has a lower volume pump but you should get 12-15 foot spray. I got mine off of agspray.com for about $35

I’m not real sure why it would be mounted horizontal like is typically seen. Major advantage would be less drift, but if you can account for that I get fantastic coverage. You have to really pay attention to where the spray coverage is going since it’s not going to be in line with the back of the ATV, but instead an arc pattern from the nozzle.
I plan to do some spraying and cleaning tomorrow to swap from glyphosate to selective so I’ll get a video/pic tomorrow of the spray and pattern.

sprayerI ended up going this route. I made a small arm coming off the tank to hold the spray nozzle, I didn't even have to upgrade the pump. I used a rain bird 180* head and pvc for a total of about $8.I'm getting a spray patter out to about 18' with great coverage on about the middle 14'.
