Nope. Azek and Versatex are PVC, Poly Lumber is HDPE, and can be used to build outdoor furniture and structural pieces.

Never saw that product come through in 25 years of selling. Probably cost prohibitive. Most of the products for decks are not even pure pvc. I have some very old probably original poly wood chairs. They stay outside in grand isle and look as good as the day I put them out except the one that went missing for Ida. No telling where that thing went.

I’d be curious to see how those chairs are made. I’m willing to bet that parts are molded and not machined. Can’t be easy to work with.

Did you work for a lumberyard? If so, where?

Trex is HDPE, and they do make what I’m looking for, but all you can get at the big boxes are a couple of different deck shades. I was looking for someone who might carry the material in various shades and sizes (it’s extruded in multiple colors and dimensions). Link to example below.

To the other poster, I’ve tried several lumber yards; no dice.

you may want to talk to the local lumber yards and see if they can special order it for you. not very likely that someone is going to buy some huge amount of inventory of special stuff thats never going to sell. not in todays marketplace at least.

we’ve used thousands of board feet of trex over the years. Have the yard order what you need.

Trex is not a true hdpe. It’s a composite. Most of those deck boards are not good for making anything other than a deck.

The Trex furniture is absolutely HPDE. I think you’re referring to the decking material, though.

you talking about a whole different thing. Trex furniture is poly wood. They have a licensed agreement with polywood. Trex decking is not the same.

Call the people in the link you had and find out who distributes and then call them and see if there are any dealers near you. Again I don’t think that stuff is easy to work with. I know azek trim is pvc and mills nice but has not structural integrity. I have custom milled pvc rails at my house but they are aluminum backed.
