Any kitchen appliance brands to avoid?

Looking for a new gas stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. Are there any brands that I should avoid or are they all pretty much the same for these types of appliances? Not looking to go high end.

I would avoid samsung also. If you want to go slightly above big box store Bosch has been good and we also have a Verona gas range 36 inch that we have really enjoyed but its only like 4 months old.

What problems do Samsung's have? Was looking at a Samsung range today.

I have had a refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine. All have had more than one warranty repair. Two have been replaced under warranty. One twice. ETA On one year warranties btw. I still deal with issues on fridge and dishwasher on a constant basis but out of warranty.
Dishwasher needs breaker to be reset ever other wash, interior parts break a lot etc...
Fridge ice maker sucks. Doors have become hard to close, ice and water build up in fridge, hidden mold, etc... we deal with it currently but will be removed with house remodel or move on our part.
Great feature set for price. That’s what got me. Never again though.

Not exaggerating, everyone I know that has had a Samsung appliance has had issues with it

I've only had samsung dishwasher (both inherited from buying house).
1st one was fine, cleaned well, was quiet but then began to leak on the floor after I had owned it for 4 years.
For the current one, Just not a big fan of it. The racks are terrible and release tray is in a weird position where it may be blocked from opening if you have a plate in a certain spot on the bottom rack. ..But otherwise no problems with it in terms of breaking down.
I do have a samsung washer and dryer as well with no issues.
But it does seem to be a trend for the samsung appliances to have the most issues when it comes to these types of thread. They do look fancy though.

Anyone have input on Frigidaire, LG, or GE?

Appliances are a part of our product offering. I’d stay clear of lg and Samsung. Whirlpool or ge brands are the least problematic of the 13 brands we carry. Frigidaire brands are decent too. This excludes high end; subzero, Jennair, etc.

Agree on Samsung. I used to not like GE but Haier may have improved their kitchen offerings.
Do not for the love of God get a LG fridge. They are ticking time bombs that should be recalled.
(This goes for Kenmore made by LG)
So many compressor failures.

All appliances in my house except fridge are GE Profile. They're good, but not sure they're with what they cost. They were here when we bought the house though, so that wasn't an issue for me.

Avoid Samsung like the plague. Had a Samsung fridge/freezer that the panel broke after a couple of years and was useless. Had a Samsung washing machine that flooded part of my house, and cause 30k in damage. Plastic component cracked off the bottom of the tub and allowed the water to literally run like a open faucet for about an hour in the house.
Have bought all whirlpool lately, and been happy with them so far.

Go with the Whirlpool - Maytag - Amana umbrella of products

Bought a Kitchen Aid induction stove and absolutely love it. I am a professional chef so i love the attention to detail on the stove and the exactness. We can boil water in 3 minutes. The oven is convection with a proofing options and a lower baking drawer. It is a beast too. I was running a pizza business out of my home during lockdowns cooking sometimes 20 a night three days a week. I was running it at high heat for hours on end and its kept up.

I want to go induction next. I ran a 50 amp service to where my gas oven is. As soon as I find a broken induction oven range I'm jumping on it.

I love induction. I have worked at two tasting menu restaurants where we had large induction cook tops ranges paired with combination ovens and I swore if i could ever find one for my home i would snatch it up.
I got a employee discount code from Whirlpool appliances and found this 4k range for 2k. Free delivery and installation with a two year warranty.

MAYTAG washers from lowes with the Lowes warranty sucks. Its like the repair guy who is the old Sears repair guy is now an attorney. We need to video failures of the washing machine and then they send someone out and announce its fixed and the cycle starts over. In visits and a new motherboard I know they are upside down in the warranty cost. Its frustrating because we replaced very good Fisher Paykill unit that we could not get a service man at all to come out. Seems like living out of Hammond is like being in Iraq for service people.
