I’m going to be laying Zoysia Palisade down in the next few weeks. If you don’t mind, how much was your 5 pallets plus delivery? I will need about 8

What made you go with that type of Zoysia over others?

Edit: It does look really good! Congrats!

Probably because it’s the most readily available in this area.

my in-laws neighbor has it and it’s really thick and soft. figured if i was doing a whole new yard might as well give it a go. Price wasn’t a deal breaker and i figured it
might be a little less maintenance with kids and a dog. also hoping it can handle a bit more shade that the live oak in the front gives it

also this damn board talks nonstop about it and i wanted to be in the cool kid grass club

I wish my front yard was smooth enough to keep tight Bermuda. Alas it’s bumpy as hell so St Aug at 3” it is

Bermuda is a superior grass. You do realize you can easily level your lawn right?

You sodded geo? Please just make a thread on it so I can follow your progress. Is it in a very low light area? Have you farted it yet?

I’ll try to remember to start one when I can get some pictures. It’s in a area that gets 3-4 hours of direct light a day and then is shaded in a lot of parts for the rest of the day.

My suggestion is to fert the shaded parts at 50% of the suggested N. N pushes growth, growth requires photosynthesis, photosynthesis requires sun. Geo will do fantastic in shade but cut the N and replace with iron. Be sure to use a high potash fert in the fall.

Looks great. Cut some circles around the trees and put down mulch I stead of sodding to the trunk. Pick up the sod on the side and rear of that shed slab. Put edging with gravel on the side and rear to make that space useful with garbage cans, ladders, etc. That may help you with the half pallet you need.

You have a reel mower yet? You’ll be disappointed if you don’t get one.
