Two cucs from one node/joint/whatever or pinch one off to allow only one?

Set out hummingbird feeders with excessive sugar and they will come

Please don't intentionally feed sugar to honey bees, especially in spring. Bees make honey from nectar, not sugar. So the sugar gets stored, but not processed into honey, and they honey that they do make gets mixed with sugar. It's not as big of a deal in the fall, though sometimes beekeepers can get a fall harvest.

And there are plenty more insects that pollinate besides honey bees.

I’ve got them hanging right side up in a shady spot that gets a little sun in the evening. The stuff that I read said it needs to be dried in temps between 50-60 degrees with low humidity. Is that “the proper way to do it” BS or will I have issues curing it in high temps and humidity? Do I need to cure it upside down?

Be careful with how much of this gets on your leaves. Tried making insecticidal soap with dawn once and it damn near killed my plants. I think it strips the oils off the leaves.

I’ve been hanging out in the garden for about an hour this morning. Between the cucumbers, okra, watermelon, and beans, theres tons of flowers all over the garden! I haven’t seen a single bee or butterfly. Where the heck are the pollinators this year?

I don't even have bumbles. Those have been regulars the last few years.

I’m not seeing many in TX panhandle either. And k have a ton of flowers in bloom. Been a wet spring and a ton of wildflowers in bloom right now as well, hoping that’s the reason. But the commercial bee keepers up here have lost 2/3 of their colonies over the last year.

Man I have the prettiest tomatoe vines you ever seen. Just no tomatoes. I've got a big garden down in SW MS and a raised bed at my house. Several different varieties of plants too. I don't know what gives. At my raised bed, I've been self pollinating. We've had a lot of rain this year, plenty of blooms but they just keep falling off. Maybe the rain?

I have peppervine growing on the outside fence of our garden deer fence and it is absolutely loaded with pollinators right now. I also left our broccoli going and they are still coming to that.

I had such a bad experience with this plant at my last house that I irrationally want to kill all I see. The previous owner did nothing to control it in some hedges and the vines were crisscrossed under the grass in the entire back yard.

that’s odd. I’m covered up, tons of bees, flies, moths, wasps etc. of course I don’t have any vegetables planted this spring LOL. My flowers though are loaded

one thing I have noticed…I never pulled any of my winter lettuces/broccoli/greens etc and they all bolted and are going to seed. The bees especially are attracted to those. Also my clover crop has never been healthier because I haven’t pulled any of it

Was bored yesterday so I went to HD. They still had some squash/zucc plants. I bought a few to go another round with the borers.

I have celebrity plants that have grown so big and full they look like some type of hedgerow. They were slow to put on fruit, but they are loaded now. And to comment on the pollinator talk, I have a nice stand of honey bees in the cucumbers all day now, and noticed bumble bees all over my pole beans today. Did catch a borer moth in the act and was able to kill it. Have a nice harvest of cucs, zuchinni, cherry and grape tomatoes and bell and jalapeno peppers today.

I'm jealous. The cucumbers are starting to roll in. So they're getting pollinated somehow. Hopefully the bees are just showing up whenever I'm not there.

It's just really odd that I haven't seen a single one. Usually this time of year I can go into the garden in the morning and see tons of them working. But I haven't witnessed a single one. In the early spring when the blackberries and blueberries were flowering I noticed bumblebees working them. But haven't seen them since then.

They must get locked in on major sources as the thousands in my Tallow tree are not visiting my garden plants that are all in the same backyard.
