You guys have full plants you’re worrying about freezing and I’m here going “time to start my seeds!”

Would it be too early to remove the covers tomorrow afternoon? Or should we wait till Tuesday?

Depends on your Monday night / Tuesday morning forecast.

For me it’ll be about 60F tomorrow afternoon and 43F Tuesday morning. I’m probably gonna start planting tomorrow afternoon.

I'm dipping as low as 38 Tuesday morning. I'll be waiting until Tuesday afternoon as long as it's dried up enough.

If not, there's always Friday.

I didn't even think about my black berries and blueberries.....that are fruiting, will they be ok? Too late to really do anything

You can try putting several shop fans on them to circulate the air. Saved my blueberries a few years back.

Wow same. Brought some potted citrus in but forgot to cover the berries.

My forecasted low was 29 but it looks like I only got below freezing for less than 30 minutes. I had brought all of my seedlings inside but just moved my potatoes and potted fruit plants/shrubs under the patio. Everything should be ok. I had noticed my apple trees had just started budding out and flowering so we'll see how that real fresh growth holds up but I'm not too worried overall.

I'll move everything back out tonight since I only have a low of 47.

I covered my strawberries. Didn’t have enough to cover the blackberries and blueberries. Oh well. It is what it is.

Definitely didn’t reach 27 like they were saying. Only got down to 30. Looks like overnight low tonight for me is 45, but only very briefly and it’ll start warming up quick. I plan to start planting this afternoon.

Fricken bipolar Louisiana weather.

Way more frost than I was expecting this morning. Won't know the outcome til this afternoon.

Camera by my garden said 27 degrees this morning. Good bit of frost on the ground. Didn't lift any boxes to check. I plan on uncovering this evening since tonight's low is showing 43. They should have been insulated pretty well. My beans didn't get covered and didn't appear to be frozen.

Low was in upper 30s. Covered most tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, and beans, but left a few uncovered as sort of an experiment to see how many days those plant are set back or damaged.

Each plant had its own cover-things like faucet insulators, then a sheet or blanket over those covers. My largest tomato had a foam empty pot that fit very snug on the lower pot and it still froze.

Low of 39 projected tonight, and briefly at that.

Probably start planting out this evening... my wife wants her dining room back.
