I transplanted about 4k of St Aug. this past week. Sod cutter and transferred it. Putting in a pool and couldn’t stand to see my nice grass get scraped away, when I had an area that was just wild/native grass growing.
Should I put down any starter fertilizer this time of year, or just skip and wait till next spring ? Grass has been fertilized throughout the year before moving it

Anyone of you fine gentlemen know WTF just took over my front yard? I cut the grass/weeds this afternoon and this patch of pretty flowers was giving the ole lawnmower hell. This stuff has taken over and there is zero grass underneath.

I bought an older home a couple of years ago here which contained older gardens. It looks like the intention was to have Monkey Grass borders in most areas however, its spread to take over the St. Aug in many spots. Several square feet of cut monkey grass.
Does anyone have an easy remedy for ridding your lawn of monkey grass? I went after one spot with round-up and then removing the remaining by hand with a hand tiller but its back breaking work. Hoping there's an easier way???

How effective will a prodiamine app be right now? 5 day avg. soil temps are at about 62°

Bump.
Manually dethatched St Aug today
Should I be worried about the area toward the top that I hit with too much MSM Turf last summer/fall?

Centipede lawn on the Northshore. Had tons of weeds, hit it with Celsius today and I plan on following up with a spot spray in 3 weeks or so. Am I OK to put down Milorganite later this week before the rain? I will have some bare spots after the weeds die off and I want to get some fert down for the grass to fill in as soon as possible.

A few of things.
1. Milorganite is not an "ASAP" kind of fert. It's known for its slow release and its only 6-4-0.
2. So while I would say if anything were safe to put down now, it would be Milorganite, but the reason that it is safe is the same reason that it's not going to do much for your lawn quickly.
3. So, You might as wait wait about 30 days and throw down a 13-13-13. Rule of thumb for first fert is 15 April, while it has been warm recently who's to say we wont get into the 20s again (like last March!)?
Centipede is a slow grower anyway. Excercise patience, or do a Bermuda renovation, which reacts really fast to product.
Short answer: Probably, but you won't get the results that you're looking for.
