Rules question: is this a banned word/ is using it a bannable offense?

Seems like the use of the word is rampant, but I have heard it might be a bannable offense? A quick search for the term yields multiple pages of results on the following boards: just random posts linked from the first page of results

Well, I asked this in that thread, but it got whacked. Don't know why. But, I felt this question had merits on its own. Guess we will see if this thread gets whacked too.

I'm sure I'm going to piss off some admins, but I agree with you, the lack of consistency in the enforcement of rules around here is incredible. It's one of the few things I dislike about this site.

Admin can't be in every thread at all hours of the day. Some things slip through the cracks.

Oh I know, but it seems sometimes anything goes, and some day you can get banned for telling someone their story is BS. I'm not asking they get every offense, but a little more consistency would be nice. You're never quite sure what will get you the banhammer or not.
Bill O'Reilly's case is a perfect example.

I won't argue with your premise that admins can't be everywhere, but even a cursory search reveals that this is more than just a slip through the cracks type of thing. It wasn't just a couple of posts that might have been overlooked; it is a couple of pages of posts on almost half the boards. I mean it seems like it should be either allowed or not.
