After iOS 15 (iPhone) update, pre-selected text will not automatically quote [FIXED!]

On mobile iOS, typically when replying in a post, user can first select text, press "quote," and have formatted text automatically inserted into message body.
After iOS 15 update, pre-selected text is not inserted—instead a blank "Enter the text you wish to quote" dialog is displayed.
Bold/Italicize/Underline markup also affected.
Behavior consistent when tested on iPhone in Chrome and Safari browsers.
ETA: Issue persists in mobile iOS 15.1
ETA: Top-tier internet user LNCHBOX notes issue exists in both Desktop/Mobile modes
ETA: Issue persists in mobile iOS 15.2
ETA: Issue persists in mobile iOS 15.2.1
ETA: Issue persists in mobile iOS 15.3.1
ETA: Issue persists in mobile iOS 15.4
ETA: Top-tier internet user dhuck20's disappointment is immeasurable
ETA: Elite-tier internet user Circus Child reports IT’S WORKING
Thank you!!

Alright dammit.
Perusing some of the code (at least what I can see).
Seems like maybe the onMouseDown/onClick isn't firing properly to call their respective functions?
Did the new WebKit change something in the JavaScript engine, or maybe even introduce a bug?

Just thought I would let you know that it's still working on Android. Maybe Chicken is an Android bot.
