Why do i have a PM about no more daily workout threads? Wth is the reasoning behind that? We have some of the most useless threads one can ever think of come up on the OT but we cant have one that people actually get something out of? What is the reasoning? Thanks

I agree yeller. That's really strange. Yet, we can have 200 threads about student teacher relationships

Don't forget the several daily AIM threads. I would like to hear an explanation as to why no workout threads...

its where we can discuss our workouts, suppliments, diets, how we train, just helping each other with our health daily. I got a ton of knowledge from posters in previous workout post. Helped me learn to better my diet to maximize my gains. No one is circle jerking, we are discussing workouts and health. I really dont get why i got this private message. Especially when there are countless post on the OT that are completely useless. There are topics about who seam cleans their vagina, but i cant make any more daily fitness threads. What gives?

While I have no problem with the daily workout threads, using a bad example to justify your reasoning for a thread makes it also appear to be a bad example. Ex, there are X amount of useless threads, why can't we have this one. The DWOT is not like those useless threads IMO.
ETA The GMT, Lunch, and LNST are the only approved daily threads. That's prob why you're getting the PM. Just a guess tho.

What's the point of a message board if you can't use it? There was no IM'ing going on in those threads. I never saw one go off topic.

I agree with you yeller. I was being sarcastic.
Something seems to be going on recently where admins are breaking up groups that communicate often even if it's relatively on topic and beneficial both for the posters and those who don't participate. I don't understand it. We're here to discuss similar interests; it's natural that those who share those interests discuss them often.
And then there's the way they go about it. "Stop" is all you get. No explanation as to why. No guidance to maybe allow you to still discuss your interests but in a way that complies better with whatever "rule" you're apparently breaking.

Thise GMt, lunch, LNST are all im threads. These threads have all been on topic, no one bullshitting with each other. All have had useful information and just a bunch of people helping each other. I could understand if it was a big "circle jerk" bullshitting thread. But its done to help others, and get ideas to better their own health.

 I'm on your side on this one. I said you're usinf a bad example to justify the reason for your thread. Focus on the good things about it
Then I gave you a guess as to why it was anchored.

The workout threads are not exclusive either. We welcome new people to the threads all the time, and we all ask questions.

i know, i wasnt trying to argue with you. Just frustrated with the Pm and the anchor, with no explanation from admins.
i dont know if they are saying "no workout thread or your banned"
or "just dont call it daily workout thread" or what. i enjoy them and like hearing what different things people are doing to better their results rather diet or exercise

I don't pretend to know why Chicken and the admins of this site regulate the way they do, and I'm sure that it's none of my business. However, the IM threads have people openly discussing having sex with other posters, posting IRL info, etc. and those are ok, so I'm not sure why a workout thread would be frowned upon.
I'm not an admin though and I'm sure they have their reasons.

Why is a daily or weekly thread needed?
If a daily thread is needed then it sounds as though a workout/fitness board would be each poster describing his daily routine.
