We've done two this year (April and June) and I think they were both a success. I plan on doing the challenge again next month and wanted to see if anyone else was interested.

Who's in?

I’d love to do it...

Sorry for my ignorance... I know previous threads exist but I’ve never read through any of them.

What’s the consensus strategy of how to accomplish it each day? #per hour, how many hours per day, etc.

I’m on day 20 of my
10k push up
1250 pull up
15k sit up
100 mile run challenge.

Had to abandon the 100 mile run at mile 51. Jacked my right calf pretty bad. All others are on target. I’ll try it again in a couple of days. Who knows. Maybe I can get to 75 but I’m 6 days into the issue and tried yesterday with no success.

Get the required reps in anyway you can. If its easier to do a few sets of 100 a day, do that. If its easier for you to do more sets of smaller reps, do that instead. How they're done isn't as important as getting the reps in.

What are the parameters for this? Pushups never hurt anyone.

I will probably do it. Hurt my back again and the beginning of September should be when I'm easing back into excercise.

Is there any benefit to using those push-up handlebars?

Does it make pushups easier or more difficult? Anyone recommend them? I need to put something on the dirty arse ground when doing them during the work day. Was considering these or a towel

Push up bars help the wrist stay in a better path. They make pushups harder as the makes the range of motion greater.

Got the pushup bars at my desk! They're pretty awesome. Feels good. Gonna try to bang out 10-20 every 30 minutes or so leading up to the 1st

I'd do it, but between LSU and Saint's games, there's no way I'd be able to finish the required reps on game days. Yall have fun.

Is there a strategy to this? You have to average 333/day for the 30 days. Do you do more at the tail end of the month. Or try to do 333 a day and if you don’t hit 333 in a day you try to make it up the next day?

When I did this challenge last month, this is what I did: 333 reps a day.

The daily reps were broken up into two sets of 100 then a set of 133. Try to do 333 reps everyday, if you can. Anything you miss will have to be made up at some point during the month.

Even though 10k reps is the end goal, realize that 10k pushups isn't really the point. You're trying to get a large volume of reps in the day, everyday, over a long period of time. What I mean by that, is that doing 333 everyday over a period of 30 days will have a different impact than doing 5000 reps a day for 2 days.

I got in 350 pushups today with relative ease. We'll see if that's the case on day 10 or 15 in a couple weeks.

I’ve been slowly ramping up all week...

100, 120, 180, 180, working on trying to get 200 today.

I need to start doing some first thing when I wake up. Been waiting until 8 to get started.
