I think you'll be fine weight loss wise if you drink a coffee with splenda in the morning.

If it's just for weight loss, drink water, some small amounts if coffee and energy drinks as needed.

I started counting calories for the first time while doing IF. Getting 2300 cals in during the 6-8 hours is tough. Constantly eating.

It's the only drawback to IF IMO. I still really like it and have been doing it for about 16 months now, but the eating during the fast breaking period is tough at first.

Agreed, I’ve had to move most of my carbs to nighttime too bc I was crashing after hitting a big lunch, trying to fit all my macros in.

How much weight did you lose from that?

Only about 8lbs. If you are obese you can probably lose 20+

Is it possible that it felt spiritual because you were so close to death?

Probably the best I’ve ever felt in my life. Farthest from death you can possibly be.

I lost 10-15 lbs doing IF and not tracking food. But my body composition and clothes fitting have changed.

It affects your sleep cycle because you will wake up after 4hrs of sleeping and feel completely rested. I’ve done a 14 day water only fast and the mental clarity and energy it provided was almost spiritual.

watch the documentary "The Science of Fasting" it was a very cheaply made doc but really the science behind it is rather logical.

we evolved as hunter gathers and didnt have access to food all day every day. we routine ate one meal a week or 2 weeks when we would kill prey.
