personally, i don't "do abs". i do core work that involves the basic lifts and then weighted ab twists, weighted decline sit ups, weighted planks with plate on back, and hanging leg raises as a finisher.

I've been following this twice a week for the past two months. Longish video but worth a watch

Core for me usually involves hanging leg raises, captains chair, AB Wheel, core machine, decline sit-ups.

Most of that sounds like ab work to me.

I google P90x Ab Ripper X. Pretty tough. But after a few weeks you can slowly start adding more and more reps. I'm sweating my arse off afterwards. Takes about 15 min total.

toes to bar will crush you

and then there is the tried and test military ab work outs

Leg raises, pathfinder exits, flutter kicks, bicycle crunches etc.

Those don't target your abs

You engage your core when doing the exercise but its not a pro longed ab workout.

I do the "extinction" ab workout.

Leg raises (45 sec)
Step through plank (45 sec)
X man crunch (12 reps)
Thread the needle (10 reps each side)
Alternating jack knives (45 sec)
Stationary bike (30 sec)

Do each until failure. So, for instance, if you are able to do 45 seconds of leg raises without failure, you keep going until you aren't able to go 45 seconds without failure. Do this for each exercise with a 10 second break in between each and it'll give you a hell of a burn.

Yea I do strict toes to bars and an roll outs. I like to use these as they are the hardest in general.

I will also throw in some dragon flyers, well variations, and windshield wipers with static holds on the rings.

I have an old 7 Minute Abs VHS. Still haven't found anything to top it.
