I need to lose 20-25 pounds by my 41st birthday (April 18). I'm 6'2 231 pounds. I'm not fat persay, but need to lose some fat. I wear a 36 waist pants. I usually do intervals on treadmill (30 second sprints, 30 second rests) anywhere from 15-20 intervals, then I'll walk on treadmill for 20 minutes at 4 MPH, 3-4 incline. Then I do weights 3-4 times a week. Should I try to do more walking or more interval sprints?

None of that is going to make you lose that weight.
I actually lose more weight when I take breaks from exercise.
It's all about calorie deficit, and that's hard to create via working out. I'm not going to tell you how to do it but it's all about food.

That sounds like plenty of exercise. Are you tracking calories?

Diet son. You could lose those 20 lbs without working out at all.

I've lost 10lbs in 5 weeks basically doing the same regiment as you, but I've also incorporated intermittent fasting, which I think has had the most significant impact, aside from the carb restrictive diet I try to abide by. Have you altered your diet or normal eating routine at all since trying to lose weight?
Just a preview of what's worked for me so far. I'll eat a normal days worth of calories on workout days, but won't eat anything from 10pm to 12pm for about 5 days of the week. I break fast typically around 14 hours with some coffee, which holds me over pretty well, and then I'll have a big glass of whole milk later on in the day. I find it easier to fast longer on rest days because my body doesn't usually crave sustenance as much, and by the end of the day I'm usually satisfied with only one actual meal.
Think you could be taking taking two steps back for every step forward if you're exhausting your body with workouts and then stuffing your face the rest of the day because your body goes into feast mode to replenish. Good luck, TechDawg2007.

You lose weight by dieting. Cutting carbs on Keto worked for me.
