Anyone else getting out and doing a turkey trot this morning?
Running a 5k this morning. This’ll be my first race in over 3 years. Hoping to go sub 19 but we’ll see. Only been seriously training about a month.
Good luck to anyone else going for the pre feast run!

Jesus…..
Have a 10K this AM. Like to get sub 42 mins. That might be a stretch as I didn’t get much sleep last night. Seems I mistakenly married a grizzly bear that likes to snore…….

I feel like a lot of my better runs come when I didn’t get great sleep the night before. Go crush it man

Faded hard about mile 3. Still managed a 47ish finish which was good for too 5 in my age group. Not bad, but learned a lot. My goal is a 42ish 10K.

47 is still moving good!
Ended up going 18:21. Thought I’d go through the mile at 5:50 ended up 5:40 through the mile and 11:44 through the 2.

10k in 50:54. I’ll take it, not bad for someone that’s 200 lbs and mainly a lifter.

Good stuff. You ran in college right?

18:57 in my local trot this am. Was a tad warmer than I’d hoped. Windy also. Happy with it.

Yea ULM. Graduated 6 years ago in may.
Trained for a couple years after college and then stopped due to getting into coaching. Just threw all my attention on that for a while. Picked back up off and on over the summer and then got the itch to start focusing on it again a few weeks ago. May try to start working on knocking out some marathons now.

This amazes me. My sons can run like this. I’m built for sprinting and not long distance.

Some dude dusted me pushing a stroller. Told him my goal was to not get beat by a guy pushing a stroller. He didn't seem to care......
