Gotcha

I’ve been taking the shot in right hip for 6-8 months now and have not switched it up. May try left hip next shot.

Disclaimer, I'm not on TRT yet, but have been down the rabbit hole, done my labs, improved my lifestyle (focused exercise, diet, sleep), and its working for me at nearly 50. But everyone is different....so if you haven't already you should look up the long thread on TRT LSU777 started.

You may 100% be the perfect candidate for it, but 29 is young and you admit you could improve some things. Also are you done having kids? You can still have kids while on TRT, but it will likely be much more complicated and expensive. The LSU777 thread has a lot of good info on doctors and plans, worth a read before starting a lifetime protocol at 29.

Yes 29 is quite young, I agree. But i was having the symptoms even when I was in a good weight range was really focused on healthy habits.

As far as kids go, don't have any and don't really want any (no offense to kids or those who want kids. Just not something me and my fiancée really want)

Ventrogluteal most of the time.

Hey JackD,

Any problem with pinching the skin up at the ventrogluteal area just like you'd do on the abdomen area and doing a sub q shot there? For some reason, when I inject sub q in the abdomen, I bruise a little and it knots up there.

Last two shots, I've done in the ventrogluteal area via sub q and it was much better. No bruising whatsoever and no knots.

My mistake. Like 7 said, subQ is fine anywhere as long as you can grab some fat to pin into. There’s a lot of areas I’d go before VG.

Jack and LSU777,

I have been considering TRT so I got some test results and I want your opinion. 57 year old male, 6’3” tall, 195 pounds.

Total test 828 (normal range 264-916)
Free test 3.4 (normal range 7.2-42.6)
Estradiol 26 (normal range 7.6-42.6)

I have been taking 10mg Boron Glycinate daily for about 6 weeks.

I had a total T number from a test 10 years ago and it was around 500. I didn’t get free T tested.

Could the boron be throwing the total T number off, and how do I increase the free T number? TIA

no, take more boron, up to 15mg and try the now brand. also add zinc and magnesium and spend more time outside in the sun getting more of that good ole vitamin D

Thanks. I have been taking a Vitamin D supplement and my number was way too high on that test. Doctor told me to back down on the dosage

Suggestions vary on amount but the type of each matters more than how much there are a lot of low quality magnesium versions out there that don't absorb very well. I use Magnesium Bisglycinate and Zinc picolinate.

i would start at basic ZMA dosage of

30mg zinc
450mg mag

take before bed. adjust as needed based on sleep patterns, how you feel and next bloodwork

Had endo appointment yesterday. Went a lot better than I thought it would. She wants to do a more in depth look at other various hormone levels and stuff before just giving me test. But she isn't against TRT in any way from what I could tell.

She did seem to push Clomid more than injections, but the more I read about Clomid I don't think I want to go down that path. Got those labs done this morning so we will see what those look like. Hopefully my Test levels don't come back right above the low end of "normal" (which is like 270 on the range and is totally not normal for someone at my age).

I wouldn’t touch that shite with a 10’ pole. It’s a terrible non sustainable form of HRT.

let me learn you something.....

frick that shite!!! unless you like randomly crying...being a moody as little bitch, still having test levels under 500 and still not having libido frick that shite

i can not express how much I despise clomid. I would rather take any other Serm if i needed to do a post cycle therapy and no fricking way would i ever take it as a way to boost my test.

little background, i took it for a year while doing my fertility treatment just to keep my test levels high enough to be able to have a libido of some kind. I literally would cry randomly when the spca commercial would come on with eyes of angel song would play. My wife would make fun of me.....and overall i was moody AF. she would even comment about it.

Now she has learned...if i get moody its not from test being too high, its that i need to take my shot. But with clomid there is nothing to take to make it better. and because of the increased estrogen floating around because clomid filled the receptor....yea you become an emotional basket case.

frick CLOMID!!!!
