Yeah, I saw the endorphin line. The top of the line racer looks like the midsole is a pebax sandwich with a material similar to boost serving as the bread. They can’t take my money fast enough for that shoe.

I saw a black and gold colorway for the Endorphin Speed...shut up and take my money.

Too many shoes I want/want to try, but refuse to pay full price. Kind of want a pair of FuelCell Propels bc they’re down to $50 on Amazon, but fear they are more similar to the Peg Turbo rather than the Epic React. Also really want to try the NB 1080v10, it’s getting rave reviews.

Edit to add picture of the Saucony. I want that shoe so bad.

I refuse to pay more than a 100 bucks for a pair of shoes.

I prefer the Propel to the Peg Turbos. I ordered both and sent the Pegs back.

I found some Peg Turbo 1’s at the Nike clearance outlet. Ran 4 miles in them and returned them. Toe box too shallow and honestly didn’t feel the pop from the ZoomX. Felt like the foam deflated every time I took a step. If the Propel’s are more like react foam, I may pull the trigger.

Sounds like you were appreciating that layer of React foam on top of the Zoom X appropriately.

I don’t know. My trainers are Epic React FK 2’s and I love them. Just wasn’t feeling the Peg Turbo.

I wanted to like React but it is way too soft and there is no energy return. Might have been a good recovery shoe if the Epic React didn’t shred my heels and the Zoom Fly didn’t have the plate.

You guys have a shoe comparable to the NB Beacon? Looking for something versatile, moderate cushion, that I can take from moderate to tempo pace. TIA

I do not but if you liked the V1, Joes NB outlet had some for $60 or $70. Edit: only sizes 8, 8.5, 9 available for $71.

Haven’t tried any, but I’d assume closest competitor to the Beacon would be one of the Hoka offerings.

I thought about going back to the well and buying another pair, but I was hoping for something more durable. I have holes in the uppers of both shoes where my big toe hits, and the soles loose traction after only a hundred miles or so. I Suppose for $70 I should scoop up another pair.

I haven’t seen them cheaper anywhere else. The new 1080v10 gets great reviews but not sure how it responds to tempo runs, also will set you back $150 right now. Maybe NB FuelCell Rebel if looking to stay with NB.

Was reading reviews on Solereview and specs wise, the Asics GlideRide appears similar to the Beacon.

I have the v8 with 500+ miles on them. They’re ok for a bit of tempo but not what they’re designed for. More of a long mid to slow speed run.

Good shoe though.

The Skechers go run 7 with the new foam has been on sale lately. The go run series is super light and soft but responsive. I’d have a pair but I’m done with knit uppers because they destroy my heels and ankles. I remember the 6 being one of the only true every run shoes out there.

ETA 60 bucks in a 9.5 @ running warehouse. I’d go with a 10 though BnG. They run small.

I’ve not run in the go run 7, but the Razor 3 is one of my favorite shoes. They both have the same foam. It is light and responsive and is my go to shoe. It handles longer slower runs just as well as faster runs.

I’m somewhat intrigued by this shoe. I have been eyeing the Speed 6 simply because it has the hyper burst foam which I love but not enough to pay $140.

The Horizon vanish you linked has a different foam. It may be similar to the foam in the Speed 5, which I thought was a great shoe.

Shoes.com sent me a promo code that brings the speed 6 down to $98. Can't decide if I want to pull the trigger. You should sign up for emails from them if you haven't already. I would give you this code but I think it's for one time use

Not much, but I have a 10% off code for Zappos that I likely won’t use. Let me know if anyone wants it.

Also, for NB Beacon fans...v1’s in select sizes for $35.
